Saving and sharing dashboard layouts

As soon as you edit a built in or shared dashboard layout by adding or removing one or more widgets, you'll notice the name of your dashboard change to 'Unsaved Dashboard'. You can navigate away and back, and Landscape will remember this dashboard. However, if you'd like to save and share the dashboard with other staff members, click on the 'Save' button.

You can then choose to 'Save as new layout' or 'Save over an existing built-in layout'. Unless you're modifying an existing dashboard, you'll want to choose the first option 'Save new'.

Enter the name of the dashboard layout in the name field and click 'OK':

You'll then see the name of the new layout in the top 'Dashboard' bar, along with 'Add Widget', 'Copy Layout', 'Delete Layout', and 'Share'

If you are the owner (builder) of the layout, then adding a new widget to the existing layout will update that layout without the need to save again. If you do not own the layout, you will need to save and share a new dashboard layout for others to see your edits.

'Copy Layout' will create a copy, which can then be edited and saved.

'Delete Layout' will delete the layout.

'Share' will make the dashboard layout appear in other users' available list of dashboards. A layout that is shared will have this text shaded. Click again to unshare.
