Tracking Amendments in Landscape
There are a few different ways to track amendments to deeds or easements within Landscape. The method you choose depends on the type of amendment and what you need to track. These methods can also be used for phased easements.

Tracking Amendments with Amendment Work Items
Any property record which is amended should have an amendment work item added to it. These work items serve to flag that a property has been amended, as well as give staff a location to note details of the amendment. These work items do not automatically add parcels or subdivide the property. You will still need to perform those actions manually. As with all work items, tracking things in this way allows you to quickly query which properties have been amended by using data viewer. The video below shows how to do this.
Adding Acreage with Amendments by adding Parcels or Properties
For more significant amendments which add acreage or subdivide the interest, it will probably be necessary to add a parcel or property record to Landscape. Use this method when the amendment is more like its own acquisition, rather than just a simple correction or restatement. For example, this method is commonly used for 'phased' easements. Start by adding an Amendment work item as described above. Next, determine whether you want to track the additional acreage as a parcel or a property. A parcel would be appropriate if the amendment was subdividing the interest. A property is appropriate for large projects where the amendment will have its own acquisition method, purchase price, donated value, etc. (all of which are property-specific fields).
Add a property record by using the create button (as described in this video). The interest of the record will be whatever the interest of the original property was (usually 'Conservation Easement'). After you enter the details of the property, you can add it to a group to bundle together the two related records.
If you add a property, then you will also need to create a group to bundle together the two related records. You can use the 'Relationships' button in the side panel to do this, or use the 'Create' button to create a new group.
Finally, depending on the nature of the amendment, you may need to dispose of the original property record by changing the property status to 'Disposed'. You would do this if the amendment completely replaced the original interest.
