Setting up the ArcGIS Integration in Landscape

This feature is only available with the Connections Add-on

There are two available uses in Landscape for integrated ArcGIS data:

1) Boundary Integration - which allows you to synchronize your Landscape boundaries with your own ArcGIS Boundary layer

2) Authenticated Layer integration, which allows you to view your own internally hosted ArcGIS data as a Landscape custom layer.

Both of these integrations require that you first set up the integration.

Setting up the integration

First, contact Landscape support to have the integration enabled for your account and to set up billing for the Connections Add-on. Free trials of the feature are available.

Once the integration is available, the next step is to create an OAuth 2.0 credential in your ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise account. Instructions for creating these credentials can be found in the ArcGIS online documentation here.

During the process of creating the credential, you will be asked for Redirect and Referrer URLs. Use these values:

Redirect URL: https://app.landconservationsoftware.com

Referrer URL: https://*.landconservationsoftware.com

The only access Landscape needs is to view any content shared in your portal.

Once you have completed the process, you will have a Client ID and Client Secret. You will enter these values in the credentials section of the integration setup on the Settings page in Landscape:

Next you need to enter the URL of your ArcGIS service. If you use ArcGIS Online, your URL will typically take the form "https://services.arcgis.com/<unique id>/arcgis". If you are using ArcGIS Enterprise, it may have a custom domain name like this: "https://<my-domain>/server."

Finally, if you are using ArcGIS Online, you can likely leave the Token URL field empty. However, if you use ArcGIS Enterprise, you may need to specify a particular URL on your server that can generate OAuth tokens. Usually this will take the form of "https://<my-domain>/portal/sharing/rest/oauth2/token"

Once your credentials have been validated, you can specify the full URL to the feature service that hosts your boundary polygons. You must include the layer number in this URL. The URL will depend on whether you use ArcGIS Online or Enterprise, but the ending should be "/FeatureService/0", where 0 is the number of the layer in the Feature Service that has the boundary polygons.

You will also specify the name of the field in the Feature Service that holds the Landscape record Id.

Contact Landscape support if you run into any difficulty.
