How secure is Landscape?

Landscape is built on Microsoft Azure, a world-class cloud server platform. All data is backed up and/or stored redundantly in multiple locations, meaning a catastrophic failure of one server will not result in the loss of your data. For peace of mind, you can also periodically download data to your local server at your convenience.

All internet communication between you and Landscape is encrypted with the latest standard encryption technologies. All the data stored in Landscape servers is also encrypted "at rest," for extra security.

Our servers are protected by a web application firewall that monitors all the requests coming in and prevents common attacks.

Like any password-protected service, your Landscape account is still vulnerable to phishing attacks. Users should exercise caution and never share their password with a third party. Two-factor authentication (2FA) can be added to your account for an additional yearly fee.

Landscape is not HIPAA or GDPR compliant, and should not be used to store sensitive financial or personal information like social security numbers or bank account details. We recommend utilizing a high-security digital storage location for this information.
