Importing a .csv file with lat/long information as a point layer
Landscape allows you to import and export a .csv file containing the latitude & longitude information of point features.
First, navigate to the context of the layer you need to edit. For example, if these are site visit points, create or go to the site visit which will contain the points.
Click on the 'edit' button in the map toolbar, then click on the import button. Choose '.csv' from the menu.
The latitude and longitude fields in the .csv file you import must be labeled 'Latitude' or 'latitude' and 'Longitude' or 'longitude'. Other names for these fields such as 'lat', 'x', or 'long' will not import. The import file will also import fields labeled 'Name', 'Label', 'Description', 'Type', and 'Status' into their respective Landscape Geography fields, but these are not necessary for the import.
You cannot import into existing geography. You can only import new geography.
